各位教友： 大家好！經過漫長的學校假期，一切生活規率正慢慢恢復。剛過去的澳洲國慶日好像標誌著假期的尾聲，學生既要回到課堂，而家長亦開始重拾忙碌的生活節奏。 在暑假期間，堂區同樣要適應這些變化。很多會議和活動也被擱置，因為兒童和家長也希望多點「合家歡」時間，有些教友亦會趁機遠遊。 隨著聖誕、新年假期的終結，這正是適當時候規劃來年。有些堂區活動是隨著禮儀年曆而舉辦，如復活節、聖誕節、四旬期、將臨期等等。另外一些活動亦構成日常堂區生活，如彌撒、聯誼聚會（不要忘記三月第一個主日是堂區同樂日）、種種會議和各種聖事禮儀等等。 我現正審核今年的堂區活動，亦藉此機會檢討那一方面有待改進。今年，我希望集中於三個範籌﹕服務輪值、成人慕道班和兒童禮儀。這個星期，我會首先關注一個獨特的組別。 在審視堂區各服務的輪值名冊時，我注意到幾乎所有組別都運作得很好，如輔祭、讀經員、送聖體員、點算奉獻等等。不過，有一服務我覺得還需要幫助，這就是聖堂的清潔。我們的團體，能把不同族裔聚在同一屋簷下，分享同一的信仰，實在值得感恩﹔這也意味著我們必須同心合力，照顧我們的家，使之成為整潔的地方，一同崇拜上主、一同分享團體生活。我們理應善用堂區的眾多組別，大家輪流分擔每星期一次的清潔聖堂服務。現時，華人牧民處、本地教友、「在基督內」夫婦組及學校團體各自承擔其中一個星期的清潔聖堂服務。 事實上，每一組別都面對人手短缺的問題。有時候，當我走進聖堂，我只看到兩個人在清潔整個教堂﹔有時候甚至只有一個人在做這份艱巨的工作。 清潔聖堂絕對不是一件容易的事。你可以想像得到，聖堂這一龐大的建築物，包括祭衣房在內，實在有很多東西需要清理。我相信你們當中定有教友能騰出空檔來幫忙一下，使這項工作對每一個人來說都容易一點。如果你有興趣加入清潔聖堂的行列，請聯絡堂區辦事處，我們會告訴你每一組別的輪值時間。 讓我再次感謝你們的幫忙和支持。 主佑 莫靖龍神父 （此乃莫神父書信之意譯，書信內容以英文為準） |

Dear Parishioners: Things are getting slowly back to normal after the holidays. Australia Day seems to be the official ‘end’ to the holiday period as students start to go back to school and parents start to fit into the working life again. The life of the parish is not that different. During the period of holidays the parish life also adapts itself as many of the meetings and activities are put on hold as children and parents want to have more time together or some go away during the holidays. With the end of the holiday period, it is time to start planning for the year ahead. Some of the activities in the parish life are marked by the liturgical calendar, Easter, Christmas, Lent, Advent and so on. Some other activities are part of the parish life, Masses, Social Gatherings (Parish Picnic on the first Sunday of March do not forget), meetings, Sacramental Programs etc. As I start reviewing this year’s activities, I want to share with you some of the aspects in the life of the parish that I think need to be reviewed. This year I want to focus on three: Rosters, RCIA and Children’s Liturgy. This week I want to bring your attention to one particular group. Reviewing the rosters that we have in the Parish, I noticed that almost all of them work fine, altar-servers, readers, extraordinary ministers, counting. However there is one particular group who I think need a bit of help. That is the cleaning roster. In our community we celebrate the fact that all the communities come together to worship under the same roof and sharing the same faith. This also implies that we have to work together to look after our place to make it a tidy place for worship and community life. Having so many groups in our parish I thought it would be a good idea if each week one of these groups could look after the cleaning of the Church. So in this arrangement one week the Chinese Chaplaincy does the cleaning, another week the Local group, another week Couples for Christ and one more week the School Community. The fact is that each of these groups struggle a bit to get enough people to help. Sometimes I walk into the church during the cleaning times and I see only a couple of people doing the whole cleaning, sometimes I have ever seen just one person doing the job. The cleaning of the Church is not an easy task, as you can see the Church is a big building with lots of things to clean, sacristy included. I am sure that some of you could put their names down to make this task easier for everybody. If you are interested to join the cleaning roster please contact the Parish Office and we will let you know the cleaning times for each group. I thank you again for your help and support.
