各位教友： 首先，讓我祝願大家新年快樂，在面對新的一年時，亦願上主賜你所需要的恩寵。 一元復始，常會帶給我們希望和鼓舞。我們又可以從新起步，積極生活，更勝舊年。我邀請你，在你的新年願望中，也包括一些能促使你信仰成長的思想。 在我們的團體生活中，今年也有一些可改善的事情。我在一些彌撒中曾提過，我聖誕願望的其中兩項，一是在9時彌撒成立一個歌詠團，二是有更多人（父母和子女）參與主日的兒童禮儀。感謝天主，其中一項已漸見端倪。 還有一樣能幫助我們團體成長的，是我們現在有更多的空間：堂區中心，禮堂，當然還有新的學校。希望這能令我們更加接近﹔這方面，我認為大家須有創意及明智地使用這些空間。亦希望在這裡舉行的活動，能凝聚堂區內各團體。 可以把我們拉近的，還有兩個在虛擬世界的網絡空間。如你已在使用這奇妙科技，希望你能去瀏覽一下(堂區網頁www.stmonicanp.org.au/ 牧民處網頁www.chinesechaplaincyparra.org)。於這網頁，你能找到堂區的最新資訊，包括彌撒時間，特別禮儀，照片和一些短片。如果你是Facebook社交網站的用家，我們也有一個 “St Monica Parish North Parramatta” 組，請隨時加入，交流你的照片和對堂區的想法。 所有這些地方和規劃，如果不使我們更互相接近和更接近天主，將不值一文。因此，希望這2010年，會是我們團體在共融上，在對真天主的愛和知識的成長上，更進一步的一年。 再次祝大家新年快樂！ 主內平安 莫靖龍神父 (此乃莫神父致教友書信之中文翻譯，內容以英文原文為準)  |

Dear Parishioners: I want to start this little message wishing everybody a Happy New Year may the Lord give you all the graces you need to face this 2010. A new year’s beginning brings hope and good spirits to most of us. We see in the year that begins a new chance to start all over again and to try to make our lives better than we did last year. I will invite you that in your New Year’s resolutions you can include some aspects and ideas that can also help you to grow more in faith. In our community life we also have some things we can do better this year. As I have mentioned in some of the masses; two of my Christmas wishing list items are the creation of a Choir that can help in the 9:00 mass and also get more people involved (parents and children) in the Children’s liturgy for Sundays. Thanks to God, one of these is starting to become a reality. One more thing that hopefully will help us to grow more as a community is the new spaces we have now in the parish: Parish Centre, Hall and of course our new school. Hopefully these will help us to bring us closer together, in this aspect I think we have to be creative how to use wisely the spaces that we have now. Hopefully activities will be developed to bring all our parish community together. We have two more spaces that we can use to help us to bring us closer, these spaces are in the virtual world called cyberspace. For all of you who have access to this wonderful technology you can find parish updates about mass times, special liturgies, photos and some videos. Hopefully you will have the chance to go and have a look at the parish webpage at www.stmonicanp.org.au and if you are into that social networking called Facebook, we also have a group for St Monica Parish North Parramatta feel free to join and exchange your pics and ideas about the parish life. All of these places and planning will be nothing if they don’t bring us closer as a community and closer to God. So hopefully this year 2010 will be the year that we grow more as a community and also we grow in the love and knowledge of the true God by whom we live. Once again Happy New Year to all!
