各位教友： 久未向各位說到堂區及小學的擴建事宜，上週六提及堂區中心的啟用，電話線、電腦網絡及文件柜已備妥，雖未盡完善，但尚可令堂區辦事處投入運作，而神父宿舍亦只作宿舍之用。 承建商將努力趕及本月15日完工，使擴建工程如期完成，小學的小朋友們在工程期間，更付出了無比的忍耐，令人非常欣慰。另外，堂區中心正籌備家俱及防盜系統，本週末防盜系統即會裝妥，新門匙亦將因應需要派給有關人等。 聖誕節後，堂區的通道及停車場將展開有關美化工程，因此，堂區附近之所有停車位將會停用，而承建商亦承諾工程在十週內完成，屆時，會通知各位開工的日子，以便你作相應之交通安排。十週好像長了些，但為了堂區設施的完善、更好地傳福音，這是值得的。 謝謝你的體諒及支持，擴建工程內，各樣不便或對各位有不少影響，但正好考驗一下我們的信仰根基了。 主祐， 莫靖龍神父 (以上為莫神父書信之意譯, 書信內容以英文為準) |

Dear Parishioners: It has been a long time since I spoke to you about the progress of the building project going on in the Parish and the School. As I mentioned to you last week, the parish centre is working now, we have managed to move the phone lines, internet and a few cabinets so we can work in there if not in a very comfortable way at least in a smooth one. The presbytery will remain as the living area of the parish priest and I can tell you it is a lot quiet than it was before. The builder is working very hard to meet the time frame that he gave us to handle the building as practical completion on the 15th of December 2009 that is this coming week. Of course we are all happy and excited to see the project to arrive at this stage; it seems like yesterday that we start announcements talking about the building project. Kids in the school have been great coping with all the changes in the school and specially with having their playground reduced to the minimum, this just shows how adaptable kids are to changes. As you can imagine there are more things involved in moving than just the phone and the internet lines. We are now in the process of getting furniture for the offices and the meeting areas, and also we are working on a system that will allow us all to take advantage of the new asset that we have in this parish, and this process includes also having the areas kept as safe as possible. With this idea, we are in the process to upgrading the locking system in all the areas: Parish Centre, Church and Presbytery. A new key system is going to be in place starting this weekend. I apologise if I did not talk to you about this in advance but you know how it is with security systems, you have to act quick. The new set of keys will be distributed according to the actual needs and again I apologize if the new system does not meet your expectations but I think it is important to constantly review the security policies in the parish. After Christmas, the new phase in the building process will take place that is: the arrangement of the parking area, drive ways and landscaping. This is a stage that will really test our patience as this process requires the absolute use of the whole area and that means no parking at all. The builder has promised to work on that as quick as possible but it will require for him at least ten weeks. I will notify you in advance so you can plan your coming to Church on the weekends. I know that ten weeks sound like a lot of time but as I mentioned earlier, it seems that we just started the building process not long ago, so hopefully the whole thing will be finished before we know it and we will have up-to-date facilities that will allow our community to move to the next level, to use the facilities to preach the love and salvation of God to everybody. We all have learnt a lot not only about building jargons and stuff but also about how to cope with the unexpected, to work together with the builders, the school and the parish to make real what we believe we are: A community of faith.
