各位教友： 上週我提到2009 牧民處的青年宿營活動，這次大約有50 人參加，寒冬的天氣裡，營地的氣氛卻是熱熱烘烘的。今年的宿營主題是：《感謝主，你原已在此》，這主題原是為鼓勵青年因應不同的信理依據，接受各項挑戰，如聖體、領洗、修和、聖經、聖母、聖人等不同的題目，以重溫個人的信仰成長道路。 參加者被編排入不同的「捍衛信仰」組別，不同的組別帶著不同的課題，組員分別作出個別分享、討論。組別的名字饒有趣味：黑修士、基督勇士、十字軍、聖殿騎士、方濟會、獅心王理查、聖女貞德。 
著重知識增長之餘，對青年的信仰培育也是不可忽視的，領聖體、明供聖體，告解均是宿營的重點，令人振奮的是：有天早上七時卅十分的彌撒，竟有青年於七時就在那靜待了，更有為數不少的青年人參加了告解。
另外，個人靜修、遊戲及營火等各項安排，相信都能讓青年們沉緬其中，並培養、深化了彼此的友誼。總的來說，這青年宿營對青年人的身心靈，均注入了無限的生機，請你為籌劃及參與宿營的青年們祈禱，在天主的眷念下，逐步建立我們這信仰團體的未來，更希望多些青年能參加明年的宿營。 主佑， 莫靖龍神父

Dear Parishioners: Last weekend I mentioned about our Youth Camp 2009. For the larger part of our community I want to share a bit more on this important event and I will start by saying that it was a very nice experience as usual. Around 50 young people participated and even when the weather was cold the atmosphere was warm during the whole camp. The theme for this year’s youth camp was “Thanks God you are here” based on the famous TV program. The idea of the theme was to think on situations where young Catholics are thrown into and they need to find answers to the challenges and questions they are asked. Sessions included important Catholic themes like: Reconciliation, the Eucharist, Baptism, Saints, Mary, The book of Apocalypse, and the Bible. Each participant was placed into a group of “Defenders of Faith” and those were their team groups for the camp, these groups were given tasks and sent to reflections and sharing times. Group names included some religious communities like the “Black Friars” (Dominicans) “Soldiers of Christ” (Jesuits) and Franciscans, other namesincluded some other general groups like the “Crusaders” and “Templar Knights” and two more group names were after some of the famous defenders of faith like “Richard the Lion Heart” and “Joan of Arc”. To care not only for the intellectual growth of our young people but also for their spiritual growth Eucharist, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Reconciliation were provided. One day during Camp the Mass participation was optional and I was very pleased to see that the majority of the kids turned up for mass at 7:30am. (One of them even was there for mass at 7:00am!) It was also very inspiring to see many of them also coming forward to renew their reconciliation with Jesus our Lord. Free time, games, campfire, all those were also important moments where our youth had the chance to know each other and build new friendships or renew them. In general I think it was a very good experience for all the participants. I want to invite you to pray for the Youth who put all their effort to plan for this Youth Camp and also for those who participated. With the help of God and with one step at the time we are building the community for the future and hopefully more young people can join us next year!
