各位教友 : 首先，衷心感謝各位教友，在上個主日為我慶祝生辰，其實我的生命是主的恩賜，能活在當下，是那麼的令人感恩，能活出如《若望福音》所言的「豐富的生命」(若10:10)，那就真得有賴源於基督的生活之泉哪！ 這幾天，我不斷地思考天主在我的生命路上所顯示的一切，尤其在我疑慮的時刻，在悠悠的歲月裡、在磨難中與主共同體驗祂的臨在，確是人生路上必修的一門功課。 我曾不下數十次提過：人在歷史中確能充分體驗天主的臨在。在聖經中，記述了以色列人在以色列的歷史裡，親嚐天主的威能；同樣地，我回顧昔日種種的經歷，即使是在一件極微少的事情上，也處處顯現出主的慈顏，從而增進我對主的認識。 澳洲與墨西哥不但在地理上相距甚遠，而且風俗習慣迴異，若從前有人告訴我，我的四十歲生日將在澳洲渡過，我又豈會相信？此刻我問自己，前路將會是如何？往後的十年又會怎樣？其實答案就在我珍如拱璧的信仰上：主，我願意接受你為我安排的一切，懇求主賜我信德，好使我能在所接觸的人、物、事上，找到你的影子，並在人世旅途中更愛你、更肖似你！ 再次謝謝各位，為我送上深厚的生日祝福，這是發自我內心的感謝，也是我遠在墨西哥的母親向你們表達的真誠的謝意。 主佑， 莫靖龍神父 (此乃莫神父致教友書信之意譯，書信內容以英文為準) |

Dear Parishioners: First of all I want to thank you all for your good wishes and all the affection you have showed me on my birthday. As I said at the beginning of the mass on Sunday morning, I consider myself to be a person who celebrates life and having the chance to be alive today is a gift that I appreciate and obviously thank God for that. He is the source of life and the one who in Jesus can give us the fullness of life (Jn 10:10) These past few days I have been reflecting on my life and how in a mysterious way God has been present even when I think he is absent. However to be able to recognize his presence and his passing over our lives is an exercise we need to dedicate some time to. As I have said many times, we recognize the presence of God through history. In the bible, Israel was able to come to the knowledge of the true God by the acts of his power in the history of Israel. In the same way, looking back in my life, I think that every little experience and especially experiences of faith have been important in shaping the face of God and also the understanding I have of him. If someone had told me that I would celebrate my 40th birthday in Australia I would not believe it. Australia and Mexico look so far away not only in the map but also in the life of our community. So here I am, now the question that I keep asking myself is. What is next? Where would I be in my next ten years? My answer comes also from the faith that I so treasure. Wherever God wants me to be! I only ask for Faith so I can see him everywhere and in every one; Hope to keep walking in this journey of life and also Charity so I can love Him more and better.
